The
ScaleSailing Foam Core
This
is hot wire cut from 'virgin bead' 16oz cu.ft. expanded
polystyrene and is very light, the 'Type B' hull core
above
measures 11 3/4" long and weights just 0.4oz (12g).
This hull
core ensures that your boat is straight and true, no more
twisted
hulls as can so easily happen in frameless construcion
which
is the typical way to build these small sailboats.
Originally
conceived to solve these problems while building a
'Footy' Class sailboat ..... the possibilities are
endless!
Oh....
and they are unsinkable
too!
